A 23 month old boy, Tiny Earl P. Harris, died at Mercy Hospital after being run over in a Canton trailer camp driveway by a backing car driven by Olin C. Creighton of Evergreen. Creighton stated he did not see the child until after the impact. The death follows another driveway accident last Friday in Summit County. Survived by parents Earl D. In a cross country trip ending in Ithaca New York a polio patient Mrs Shirley Palmer 27 reached Biggs Memorial Hospital alive thanks to husband Bob Palmer 31 who manually powered the iron lung pump for more than ten hours after the electric motor failed en route from Wyoming to Omaha He fashioned a makeshift handle from a can opener and kept the device working as they found a replacement unit in Omaha The Palmers who live in Encino California and are Newark New York natives traveled with Mrs Palmer from Syracuse to Ithaca for treatment

Two Cleveland youths rescued after 29 hours at sea
Lawrence Murphy aged 21 and Robert Allyn 22, Kent State student, spent 29 hours stranded on a 16 foot motorboat eight miles northeast of Fairport Harbor in Lake Erie. They bailed constantly to keep afloat after engine failure at 1 pm Sunday. An air force plane spotted them, and they were taken aboard the freighter Harry Coulby of Ashtabula before Coast Guard assistance brought them to Fairport Harbor. Both men suffered no injuries.
