Fire of undetermined origin leveled the First Christian Church in Minerva amid dense smoke. Loss pegged at $90,000 with only the parsonage saved. Heart Attack in Home Fatal to B C Sharrock
Councilman Baxter C. Sharrock, age 60, died of a heart seizure at 7:30 this morning in his home at 830 Marion Ave SW. He was preparing to go to work as custodian for First Reformed Church and was dead when his wife reached him. Elected in 1945 from the Third Ward, he had been active at a council session Monday and spoke on belt-line conveyor and Don Mellett Homesteads issues.
