Nest-Hunting Birds Go Oriental Shrine in Garden
Carl Marti of 1523 Wertrave SW built a large 48 compartment bird house called a Japanese bird shrine. The three story, 42 by 60 by 27 inch structure uses marine lumber cyprus and poplar, white and gray paint with green trim, and features a beveled steeple and cork knobbed screw heads. He hopes it attracts nearly a dozen birds and plans more houses for birds without space in the other nests.
