Dealing With Bridge By W. E. McKENNEY
Dan Seymour invited me to his Saturday night radio program Sing It Again and I watched Ray Black perform. He leads the orchestra, sings and dances the rumba while keeping the audience laughing, and he's also on Ed Sullivan's show Sundays. He recalls his 1929 radio break, when piano movers crashed a piano on air, a moment he still recalls to steady nerves. He admits bridge nerves, recalling a six diamonds hand where an expert suggested six spades, a line that cannot be made yet six diamonds allows a discard and a ruff to win.
