Fire, Smoke Damage Home on 10th St NW

Fire and smoke damaged a residence at 1407 10th Street NW early today. Mrs. Nettie Guthrie’s home suffered charred joists in the furnace area and smoke damage to contents and closets. Bodies Of Carole Lombard Among 9 Victims Recovered

In Las Vegas a Sunday recovery identified screen actress Carole Lombard and eight other crash victims. Lombard’s body, identified by dental charts flown from Hollywood, was prepared for shipment to Hollywood by her husband Clark Gable. Mountain climbers and soldiers retrieved remains from a snow bank beneath a torn plane wing on a steep cliff, then transported them to Good Springs for further handling.
