Norway Seeks U S Guidance On Security Pact

Confesses In Slaying of Hiram Berlin

Carrollton February report confirms a confession by Andrew Kertes, 28, to the murder of Hiram Berlin, operator of the Blue Tea Room and Inglewood Tourist Home. After six hours of questioning, Kertes described hiding in Berlin's car, the ensuing struggle, and four fatal gunshots. He confessed to the robbery of 50 dollars but omitted a wallet with about 500 dollars and a bag of silver. Authorities say the gun is hidden out of state. Polinori Case Jurors Chosen

A jury of eight men and four women was impaneled in Common Pleas Judge Paul G. Weber's court to try Al Polinori of Alliance on a charge of receiving payment on false claims and vouchers from the City of Alliance. Polinori is charged with embezzlement of public funds alongside Frank H. Greneisen, who pleaded guilty and was sentenced to the Ohio penitentiary.
