Minnesota storm warning aid for lost hunters
Minnesota establishes an elaborate storm warning system after Armistice day blizzard of 1940 that killed 32. Signals and personal warnings using bells and sirens will reach river bottom hunters, with a plane from the naval reserve base at Minneapolis to give a final warning. Cooperation spans coast guard, auxiliaries, state patrol, radio stations, municipalities, safety councils and sports groups.
