Scientific Feeding Boosts Hog Market in New Sweden District
C W Peterson of the New Sweden district sold 224 hogs to Hut Field at six cents a pound, receiving $2600. The hogs, finished on wheat, were the smoothest yet seen locally, reflecting Petersons science of feeding. He weighs feed and hogs to track gains, noting a three and a half pound daily gain per head. Peterson argues alfalfa plus wheat finishes earn more than corn feeding in the Midwest. Ida ho Falls Register.
