Republicans Hold Rousing Meeting in City Hall
A large turnout braved rain as Gov. James H. Brady and Judge M. I. Church spoke at a crowded city hall Republican mass meeting. Church defended tax cuts under Republican rule while praising Idaho’s land board work and Brady’s Idaho record as an “empire builder.” The gathering included lively praise for Taft and Roosevelt, with detailed remarks on local headquarters location and Idaho-Boise project funding. An upset at the judge’s table led to procedural questions, and a later domestic case ended in a $30 fine for a man who assaulted his wife and mother-in-law amid a night of whiskey and disorder.
