Fall Night Skies Deepen North Dakota Fires and Accidents

North Dakota reports a severe autumn with heavy losses in the Red River Valley. A farmer’s daughter Lydia Lindhele was gravely injured after a car backed from a garage. Barns and livestock burned in a mystery fire near Olaf Chaput. State forestry seeds seedling program for North Dakota

The state school of forestry begins shipment of thousands of seedling trees to landowners in North Dakota. Trees are to be planted next spring. No further applications will be accepted this fall or next spring. Subsequent requests will be filed for delivery in fall 1917 or spring 1918.

Yeoman lodge held a Saturday session with a long program of songs and speeches led by Mia Bell DuMara and others, followed by a midnight supper and a large turnout of non members. The next meeting is scheduled for the November frat Saturday.

School Chatterbox Notes Class Changes And Activities

The report notes Clifford Lepper’s return to school and a midweek shift in the student program.
