Teachers arrived and work started but Saturday the village board of health voted to close the school indefinitely due to Spanish influenza. No cases had been reported yet. Two Barns Destroyed by Fire in N D Storm
Thompson North Dakota October seventeenth two barns six miles apart were struck and ruined by lightning in a severe electrical storm. On Fred Schenk farm twelve hundred bashelo f oxen harness were destroyed and ten horses were cremated with other heavy losses in the Behl farm barn.
