Doctor Doe Buys Lightning Car in Minneapolis Trial

Albert LeRoy Doe a Bowbells North Dakota physician, bought a Minneapolis car to outrun rivals and test the Doig tuberculosis treatment amid high speed runs. He and Milton Brice piloted the car at near eighty to ninety miles per hour along Minnetonka road and Kenwood, claiming the vehicle performs well and the treatment cured a patient in London observed by a noted physician.

England doctors test Doig tuberculosis cure claim

A late London dispatch reports that eminent English physicians including royal doctors will conduct a severe test of William Doig's claimed tuberculosis cure. Doig has treated tuberculosis patients free of charge for ten years.

No Tree Bounty Yet

The tree bounty problem remains unsolved by the late legislature. County Auditor Anderson notes past attempts dating to 1905 when a $3 per acre bounty was set, amended in 1907 for 1 to 10 acres, and later rebates of $3 per acre from taxes were proposed but deemed inadequate due to broad tax allocations.

Teachers Examinations Set for May 28 and 29

The next teachers examinations will be given on May 28 and 29 at the court house in Minot and the Bowbells school house. All teachers with permits and conditional certificates from the March exam must attend. Tests begin at 8 30 Friday morning. E G Warren Supt of Schools.

Remedy for Potato Scab Treatment

A homemade potato treatment uses 15 gallons water and 8 ounces formalin. Dissolve formalin in two gallons warm water, add remaining water, soak potatoes two hours, then dry and plant immediately. A quick method is to dip sacks of potatoes in the solution.
