Portals Man Narrowly Escapes Elevator Fire Accident
R. V. Carter of Portal a nephew of County Judge Carter fell into an elevator pit while holding a lit lantern at the Carter Independent Elevator Co. building. Thirteen Horses Cremated In Tagus Livery Barn Fire
A Tagus North Dakota fire destroyed Thor Valen’s livery barn at 11 30 pm. Thirteen horses perished in the blaze and two men escaped in underclothes. Loss estimated at about three thousand dollars with eight hundred dollars insured. Nearby homes briefly endangered by flying embers. Commercial Club Formed in Bowbells After Tuesday Meeting
