Crosby Electric Light Power Plant and Crosby Auto Company's garage burned to the ground Tuesday night. Fire started around 12:30 to 1, with firemen and Home Guard forming bucket brigades to protect adjacent buildings. Loss estimated near 25,000 dollars. many cars destroyed. several workers exposed to gas. cause remains a mystery. Firelight lasted over two hours with darkness hampering efforts.

Storms Batter Tolley Section N D May 9
A series of storms swept over Tolley North Dakota last Saturday evening around five o clock. Several barns were blown from foundations and small windmills were toppled. Some sheds and outbuildings were wrecked. No injuries were reported. Two storm systems formed near Tolley and caused damage north and southeast of town. rural phone lines are down and details are not yet available.

Harness Thieves Captured Near Kenmare Saturday
Sherif W. C. Heath and Deputy Drinkwater captured the thieves who stole harnesses from C. B. H. Irwin and Robert Magedang on April 10 and a quantity of wheat from Jourgen Hanson the prior Friday. Gust Quitt and Jack Longre were taken. Quitt pleaded guilty to grand larceny and received two and a half years in the state penitentiary, while Longre was sent to face charges in Carrington for stealing a Ford. The pursuit began with a trail of wheat to Kenmare, then into Bowbella and surrounding hills, with the lead continuing on page 8.

Enderlin North Dakota May 9 A Nome resident, Irvin Ferguson, unintentionally shot himself with a revolver while fetching it from a dresser. A coroner and physician say the upward bullet trajectory and circumstances suggest an accident, not suicide, as his wife returned home to find him dead. The deceased, recently married and prosperous, had borrowed the weapon to shoot a nuisance dog.

Former Editor W. H. Ware Passes Away
Divide County journal reports W. H. Ware former owner and editor of the Crosby Review died Sunday at 11 pm after years of illness. He suffered a paralytic stroke five years earlier and another in 1915 left him helpless. Mrs Ware faced a nervous strain caring for him as the family prepared for funeral services and burial in Minneapolis.

Pederson Family Narrowly Escapes Auto Crash Near Winnipeg
En route to Winnipeg Mr and Mrs Pederson and their children were in a crash about 100 miles from destination when the car overturned. A farmer nearby pulled Mrs Pederson from beneath the vehicle with the back seat pinning her neck. Mr Pederson suffered facial injuries from the steering wheel. the children were uninjured.

Honek a 48 year old farmer living twelve miles northwest of town died Sunday night when his auto went over an embankment on a grade near Bufor.
