Supreme court settles Ward and Mountrail county road tolls

The North Dakota Supreme Court holds that roads and bridges in the original Ward county remain public property and must be accounted for in the settlement with Mountrail county. The decision, part of a long dispute following Mountrail's 1908 organization, directs that the cost of public property be charged to Ward without depreciation and confirms that county record books are Ward property. The ruling affects Burke and Renville settlements and sets terms for forthcoming negotiations.
