Baby Born In Ford Car At Ray WD
Williston N D March 17 Thursday morning last week a baby boy weighing about 12 pounds was born in a Ford car on the street in front of the Smith hotel in Ray. Mr and Mrs Howard Butterfield visiting relatives near Baldwin Mont were driving home when the birth occurred as they neared Trenton. A reception committee of physicians and nurses provided prompt care and attention.

Divide County Auditor Sentenced Amid Parole Dispute
The auditor of Divide County traveling to Bismarck for a five year term after parole cancellation by Governor Frazier. Frazier allegedly drew a gun on Clarke in Ward County Court House after Judge Lowe denied Vadnais a writ of habeas corpus. Vadnais had pleaded guilty to falsifying Divide County records on January 18 and was paroled to help correct records and restitution, a promise he did not keep. George Goetz, former county treasurer, pleaded guilty to falsifying records and embezzlement and now faces one to seven years in prison.
