Minot Farmer Wounded by Plow Lever in Field Accident
Lare Tollefson, a single farmer from six miles south of Minot, North Dakota, was badly injured Saturday afternoon when a lever struck his abdomen while operating a gang plow. He crawled home in severe pain, reached help, and was rushed to St Joseph’s Hospital in Minot where an operation was performed. He was in critical condition and believed to be in danger.

Twin Girls Born to Hansen Family Then One Dies
A Register of Deeds and Mrs. George Hansen welcomed twin girls Monday, but one baby died within two days. The funeral, led by Rev. D Samson of the Presbyterian church, was held yesterday at the Hansen home. Remains rest in Bow bells cemetery east of the city as the couple receives community sympathy.

Bowbells Wins Three Baseball Games At Local Park
Bowbells defeated Estevan 8 to 4 at the local ball park on Sunday and also won a prior game at Estevan. Tuesday bowled a 7 to 5 victory over Tolley. Wednesday featured a 4 to 3 win over Minot in a closely contested contest with both teams reinforced. Large crowds attended and the Kenmare band played during the last two games. Bickford Found Guilty of Embezzling State Funds
G. L. Bickford was found guilty of embezzling over sixty thousand dollars while state treasurer. Verdict delivered at 10:30 pm Wednesday after over twelve hours of deliberation. Local crops suffer frost damage in Kenmare area
Prof d H Crentons of Kenmare attended the races Wednesday. Jacob Helgeson of North Star township relayed that Monday night brought widespread frost, freezing beans cucumbers and tomatoes, with potatoes damaged in places. Some plants were frozen through while grain fields remained unharmed.

Grain rates from the Dakotas raised
Chicago Illinois June 28 Effective July 1 rates on grain and grain products from stations in the Dakotas will be advanced by 3 to 2 cents per hundred pounds. The rates were proposed by all lines a year ago but were suspended by the Interstate Commerce Commission. Mrs Herman Endreson left for Kermit after a message that her mother Mrs E Bearson of six miles north of Kermit is critically ill from Brights disease. Bernt Bearson and family of Fertile Minnesota visited Enderson in Bowbella on their way to Kermit to be with his mother who is very critically ill.
