Attempted wreck on Soo Train 108 near Vanderwalker
Minot North Dakota June 25 A deliberate wreck attempt is believed to have targeted Soo Train 108 near Vanderwalker west of Burlington last night and on prior nights. A pile of ties on the track caused a sudden stop as obstructions were found along the route. Wreck and robbery motive suspected. detectives search for suspicious loiterers along the line.

Minot Man Killed in Auto Accident
A. E. Stevens, manager of Consumers Power Co., died from injuries after an automobile plunge near Minot. The Hudson car, carrying Stevens, Mrs Stevens, Miss Hazel Thompson, and others, went down a ten foot embankment at forty miles per hour. Mrs Stevens and Miss Thompson were in dangerous condition. Miss Tillie Mostad escaped unharmed. The party was returning from the poor farm when steering gear failed. Stevens died about an hour after hospital arrival. he had moved to Minot two years prior after a utility company purchase.

Stolen horse and buggy sold to Olga man recovered
A man inconspicuously sold a horse and buggy to Phil Brusseau for 150 dollars claiming a urgent journey to his ill wife. The buyer paid 25 dollars with a bill of sale and was to return for the rest. Sheriff Drury later urged Brusseau to watch for a horse theft in Morden Manitoba. The owner recovered the outfit and Brusseau was compensated 20 dollars. The thief remains at large.

Ambrose Man Scarred By Skull Fracture In Ball Game
Eddie Bowler, a well known Ambrose youth, was struck in the temple by a bad throw during practice ahead of a Goodwater celebration game with Colgate. He was taken home forty miles away, operated on that night, and while initial hope faded, reports say he is improving steadily. Petrified Negress Found In Barn Chest Near Jamestown

A mysterious body found in Andre's barn is a well formed young Black woman about 20, weighing 120 pounds in life but 200 pounds petrified.
