Burke county prisoners plead guilty in local court
Four Burke county inmates faced sentencing by Judge Jayde Leight after admitting guilt to pigging and embezzlement. Wm. Rogers and Arthur Foster, both of Columbus, received 90 days plus fines. J. Z. Dunwoody of Columbus was charged with embezzling from Standard Grain. Nick Schaak faced attempted jail delivery at Portal.
