Fatal accident claims 10 year old at Crosby

Divide County Journal reports ten year old Wilbur Martin of Wilbur the son of Mr and Mrs W C Martin was accidentally shot Sunday afternoon around 4 45 while showing his younger brother how to use a Savage 22 rifle The gun fired striking his brain and he died about an hour later at 6 50 His father had given him the rifle earlier and removed the clip from the weapon before giving it to Wilbur The accident occurred in the Martins home with Mrs John Carson present assisting the dying boy

Demobilization 15 Under Way at North Dakota College

Fargo December 10 Over 300 men in the army vocational detachment at North Dakota Agricultural College will be mustered out by Wednesday including draft men and volunteers from many counties. The detachment began training November 6 and demobilization of the Students Army Training Corps is planned by December 21. Resignation of State Penitentiary Warden Accepted
