Contested Election Charges in Burke County Contest

Burke county faces a high profile contest over the November 2 general election with eight defeated Nonpartisan League candidates challenging the results in twenty townships. The notices accuse election officials of illegal voting and open ballot handling, while lawyers from Bangs Robbins and John C. Lowe represent both sides. An outside judge may be used as courts wrestle with a dispute that could go to district or supreme court.
