Popular couple married Wednesday at Minanesi church

A well attended Wednesday 8 pm ceremony united Merle Coote and Mamie Thompson Violet Coons at the Minanesi church. Rev C N Vi officiated. The newlyweds hosted a reception, wedding supper, and gifts while both hailed from Bowbella. The couple plan to live on the Christteen farm they will rent for the coming season.

Infant Born Aboard Pacific Train On Thanksgiving Day

A 10-pound daughter was born on the rear platform of Pacific passenger train No Jamestown on Thanksgiving Day. The North Dakota mother and newborn were taken to Jamestown hospital. brakeman Sloniker aided until medical help arrived. Both mother and baby remained hospitalized as the olay and effort were praised by the crew.

Man Sentenced for Impersonating Husband in Edmore Case

Devils Lake North Dakota December 4. Ed Brooks a man from Edmore was given a year at the state penitentiary for lying about his wife age. He claimed the girl was 18 with her parents consent. The court found the man had misrepresented the age in a deceitful order by the district court.

Minot Police Warn About Rubbing Alcohol Drink Injuries

Minot North Dakota November 20. Police report Horlv Kirkely was jailed on drunkenness after consuming rubbing alcohol sold as a topical preparation with 85 percent alcohol. Officers say others also drank it and suffered disturbances. Kirkely to have a hearing on the charge.

Minot Police Captain Guilty in Sampling Case

Minot North Dakota December 1 The jury found W B Brown captain of the Minot police guilty after about 18 hours deliberation in a case charging him with permitting alleged sampling to continue in the city. New Rockford North Dakota December 1 The two men headed Security State Bank Brantford Ostrum and Dewey Miller were found guilty in district court of making false reports and each received six months in jail Their embezzlement charges were not pressed at ship time After the bank closed they were arrested on charges related to unreturned check proceeds

Canadian Smuggler Fined Fifty Dollars in Federal Court

Fargo North Dakota December 1 G W Barker of Waskada Manitoba pleaded guilty to grain smuggling from Canada into the United States. He was fined fifty dollars in federal court. The case arose from attempts to move grain despite Dominion regulations and related penalties. The record notes the default of the payment and implied local county issues at Devils Lake.

Bank Loot Found in Teddy Bear in North Carolina

Stanley, N. C. Nov 30 James N Wheeler arrested here and held for Tacoma Wash authorities on a bank robbery charge. He confessed and led to about $300 in greenbacks hidden in a teddy bear used by his children. A bear was ripped open revealing $542. Tacoma says Wheeler was part of a trio that robbed a Roy Washington bank about 20 miles from Tacoma.
