A lengthy column lists residents travelling to Fergus Falls Willow City and Omemee for business visits and social events. Mentions include L K Sivertson J C Adamson W H Master and Mrs O J Stirk plus many others visiting relatives or attending weddings balls and church activities. Two ball games Rugby vs Willow City and Rugby vs Bottineau are noted with scores 4 1 and 6 2 respectively.
Edward A. Foss of Rugby married Miss Karen K Lem of Carbury on June 27 1907 at the bride’s parents home near Carbury officiated by Rev K O Raftshol. Best man Brick Moum maid of honor Keren C Moum. They will reside in Rugby with the Great Northern Railway. Free score cards offered at Blades’ before the game.
Despite bad weather Omemee hosted a French Day with visitors from Bottineau Willow City and Soo Line towns. Overly beat Omemee 8 to 5 in the morning ball game Bottineau lost to Antler 10 to 9 for a $100 purse. Races saw Billy Bryan Pilot Navajo and Escort Jr. win top money while Omemee band played and a dance at the opera house sold 91 tickets.
County Auditor Brandford reports a Board of University and School Lands order directs Bottineau county to reappraise school lands in preparation for a sale next fall. Appraisers include Superintendent P. E. Christenson, Chairman Knoke, and Brandford. Buyers may notify the board of land they wish to purchase. appraisal due to land department at Bismarck by August 1.
Frank Mahsra's famous operatic Minstrels with LeRoy Bland headlining perform at Bottineau Opera House on July 4 and 5. Winnipeg Free Press June 14 praised the company as one of the brightest performances by a colored minstrel troupe in this city.
A free street parade is announced featuring Ma hara’s challenge band and orchestra. Citizens are urged to watch for the lively procession as a special entertainment feature.
A Souris Farmers Day on June 25 drew crowds from nearby towns and farmers. Hon E L Garden opened with a welcome address and Rep Anderson spoke on The Farmers Society of Equity. The day featured old fashioned amusements, a Bottineau victory over Westhope in baseball, a local tennis win by W E Adams and C W Fielder, and an Omemee band concert to conclude the event.
Plans for the School of Forestry at Bottineau have been received by the Builders' Exchange. The brick structure will be trimmed with cut stone and designed as a handsome building. It will measure 76 by 75 feet with a high basement.
Fire last Sunday destroyed the Record print ing office and the Kranwell butcher shop. The blaze started in the rear end of the meat market. The Record was fully insured. the meat market carried only small coverage. Editor Skinner will print at the Omemee Herald office this week and expect a new outfit soon.

Bottineau welcomes a major meet July 3 to 5 with turf club races and large purses. About 35 top northwest horses are expected, 60 entries confirmed, plus daily contortionist and trapeze acts and a July 4 ball game Westhope versus Bottineau for a $300 purse.
Golmar Brothers bring a large circus to Bot tineau with two performances. The Sunday show is followed by a free street event Monday at 10 a.m. featuring the big act and street entertainment.
The parade and circus arrive a day before the races and are expected to attract many spectators to town. Next week is billed as a banner week for Botti neau with multiple events and prominent attention.
The First Baptist church invites the public to Sunday services with a morning sermon titled A Perfect Prayer at eleven o'clock and an evening talk titled A Perfect Foundation at eight. Sunday School follows at 12:15, with a brief song service opening the evening. The young people's service is postponed until September.
Mrs Celia Montbraint appeared before the Insanity Board last Monday and was adjudged sane. She was taken to the Jamestown asylum on Wednesday morning. Her husband left three years ago and could not provide for their three children who were placed in the Willow City convent. A bow and lat in her name lie in Willow but are not valuable.
Bottineau boys traveled to Westhope and won the game 6 to 2. Shonka led at bat and pitched a splendid game for Bottineau.
