Bottineau County Picnic Draws Large Pioneer Attendance
The Bottineau County Old Settlers association picnic drew an unusually large turnout in Bottineau city. Gov. Burke and Dem candidate Tobias Casey spoke on progress, conservation, and farming. A.M. McIntosh died at 54, and Joseph and Charles Peltier were found guilty of murdering Frank Seidel, with sentencing to follow.

Erick Moum, son of Aunt Moum and brother of Christ Moum of near Carbury, joins Weeks & Murphy to form Weeks, Murphy & Moum. A former county school teacher, Moum studied at Minneapolis Normal School Concordia Moorhead, and the University of North Dakota law department before being admitted to practice by the state supreme court. He will begin active law work in the new firm shortly.

The Bottineau county fair held Monday and Tuesday drew large exhibits across departments with strong horse and cattle shows judged by Prof. Richards of Fargo. Races and baseball games featuring Bottineau and Antler drew crowds, with Bottineau winning both ball games and various track events noted as well.
