W. R. McIntosh of this city was elected president of the North Dakota Retail Hardware Dealers Association at the Fargo annual convention. Answers Summons Died in Grand Forks
Judge R. M. Carothers of Grand Forks County, former county judge and prominent Mason, died after a weeklong illness. Born 1859 in Pennsylvania, he came to North Dakota in 1883, served as county judge from 1890 for ten years, and was a Michigan Law School graduate. Survived by his wife Helen Fulton and three children Ruth, Robert, and Frederick, plus his mother and sister in Louisiana and a brother in Bottineau. He was active in the YMCA and Presbyterian church.

Good Man is Called Died After Two Week Illness
George Stewart long time county resident died Thursday after a two week illness from pleuro-pneumonia at 45. He came to the county in 1883, married Lizzie Pugh, leaving six children. Survived by wife, father Squire William Stewart, four brothers, two sisters, and was an Odd Fellows member. School of Forestry Athletic association officers elected for the year. post office building provided as gymnasium.
