A Willow City community column recounts local notes from residents and visitors: trips to St Paul and Omemee, weddings and illnesses, new cars, an auction every Saturday by TD, a school play Hearts and Diamonds, Easter church decorations, and visits from Mrs. Ryder, Miss Lescault, and Miss Dolly.
Alma Gran spent Sunday with her parents while Emma Marquardt and Bert Warfield drove to Bottineau on Tuesday. Epworth League program is set for Sunday April 26 at 7 30 p m all are invited. J A Fox and C S Fairfield hunted ducks Monday at the Mouse River. Evangelical services are at the schoolhouse Sunday at 3 p m Rev Hoy to preach last time before conference. Rev E G Meierbachtel and wife A F Walther and wife, Herman Boltz and his mother and sister drove to Bottineau Friday for Methodist church entertainments.
At the Baptist church next Sunday the pastor will speak in the morning on The Supreme Association and in the evening on The Supreme Blessedness. Morning service at 11, Sunday school at 12 15, and evening service at 3. Everyone is welcome.
Presbyterian Church announces Sunday services on April 26 at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. led by Pastor Davis with the evening sermon "The Escaped Jail Bird and How it Happened." Sunday school at 12:15 p.m. and Christian Endeavor at 7 p.m. John Rygg relocates his tailor shop to rooms above the O K Barber shop, ready to serve customers.
Lorraine commandery No. 18 Knights Templar observed Easter Sunday at 3:30 pm in full regalia, marching from Masonic quarters to the Presbyterian church for a ritual service and address by Rev. L. M. Waterman. He spoke on Christ’s ascension, freedom from physical, civil, intellectual, and social captivities, citing Knights Templar influence and historical figures.
State school lands in Bottineau county were leased at the auditor's office under D. J. Olson of the State Land Office. One hundred quarters were let, bringing about 1250 dollars in receipts. Leases sold mostly at 10 dollars per acre with top bids of 55 dollars per acre. Various quarters in sections 16 and 16, township 162 range 76 and township 163 range 80 changed hands, while much east-end land has already sold.
Packard argues for bringing unemployed eastern workers to North Dakota to meet farm labor needs. He urges commercial clubs and farmers to recruit steady, sober men from the east, offering steady pay and reducing reliance on transient labor. He warns that unchecked Northwest roughs threaten the state during the season.

W R Lanxton a horticulture student at the state agricultural college reports on strawberry yields in North Dakota. He states that last year from a twelve row patch the crop showed promising productivity.
