Hot Election Library Proposition Won
In the municipal election Monday two hundred twenty four ballots were cast across three wards. A. S. Nero was re elected in the second ward defeating Emil Johnsgaard by eleven votes. Dan White defeated W R McIntosh in the third ward by 56 to 46. first ward results show 24 for G K Vikan and 24 for H N Wekseth among 48 tickets. The library proposition drew 208 votes with 147 for and 61 against. The city council may call another election in the third ward to settle the alderman fight. Mayor M E Hayes defeated Paul D Kniss 41 to 32. Ed Peterson beat L O Tollefson for treasurer by three votes. Four aldermen elected: Zimmer man 73, Emil Erickson 72, J P Shahane 55, K Melby 39. Dr M B Halldorson and M E Hayes received 39 and 12 respectively. Dr Halldorson refused to draw lots. Melby declared winner.

Willow City voters chose George Sunberg over incumbent D A Crites by six votes for mayor. In city justice of the peace race T C Michael defeated A J Morden by six votes. Ward results show Holzer and Burris winning alderman seats in wards one and three, Svensrud in ward two, with Armstrong as police magistrate and Kimm as treasurer drawing no opposition.

Lorraine Commandery forms with North Dakota Knights Templar officers
Lorraine commandery No. 13 of Knights Templar was constituted in Minot after a January grand commandery meeting. H E White Jamestown and A J Stade Devils Lake led the ceremony with an installation of officers including Batie, McIntosh, Barkway, Turner, Sims, Burr, Helgerson, Kirk, Smith, Johnson, Falkenstein, and warder. Visiting dignitaries praised the locals and a luncheon followed. Also reported are mayoral elections in Devils Lake, Hillsboro, Dickinson, Jamestown, and Valley City, with Whitman, Haagensen, Frye, Blewett, Cowell, and McPherson among the winners.

Sacred Cantata The Crucifixion Promises Bottineau Festival
On Good Friday April 17 at the Methodist Episcopal church Bottineau will host a sacred concert led by Professor A Caldwell.
