An advertisement touts Uticura Resolvent Pills as a tasteless odourless economical substitute for the liquid cure Cuticura Resolvent and other blood and humour remedies. Each pill equals sixty doses of liquid, price 25 cents. The pills are claimed as alterative antiseptic tonic and digestive, marketed by Cuticura Depot at 3 Canal Street.
Prices that please and pay shoppers with corn at 7c a can dry corn 8c a package and baking powder 10c per pound, as advertised in a compact price list.

Qualified candidates become lieutenants jg with a first five year salary of 2700. A bill in Congress would add three engineers now and three more in January 1903, potentially eight total from the May 26 1902 exam. Candidates must meet age 27–35, be citizens, hold a civil engineering degree, show five years practical work, three in lead roles, and pass 75 percent overall with 30 percent in math materials and construction subjects.
