The National Teachers Association holds its fortieth annual meeting in Detroit starting July 12. Logan county teachers are urged to attend, with round trip rail fare from Bellefontaine at 6.20 dollars plus 1.50 daily for lodging and 2 to 2.50 for hotels. Return until September 1 with fifty cent extension. Supt. MacKinnon will seek reasonable entertainment options in Detroit and county teachers should contact him promptly.
John Anthony rode with his dog Skipper on a Loramie Sunday run when the dog’s leash tangled in the wheel causing a dramatic crash. Anthony flew from the bike, landing hard, while onlookers freed Skipper from the tangle. The street is under repair as Anthony recovers from his injuries and Skipper’s bruised tail heals.
