The notice states the railroad hauls broom corn from Beaver to Forgan for seventy cents a ton with two delivery points. It urges growers unable to afford hill routes to demand Beaver delivery.
Beaver grain trade owners describe wheat handling difficulties during bridge and railroad construction. Car shortages near Wishita Falls hindered sales, with high prices at local markets. Granaries planned to store grades, easing logistics, while Beaver competes with distant markets seven miles away.
Beaver becomes part of the rail map as regular daily train service begins. Two trains daily connect with Wichita Falls & Northwestern at Forgan, No 1 departs Forgan at 7:00 am arrives Beaver 7:40 am, return at 4:00 pm. No 4 departs Forgan 5:15 pm, arrives Beaver 6:00 pm. Connections to the other train are planned once arrival times stabilize.
Mrs Clyde Green of Blue Mound dies after a prolonged illness from blood poisoning. Funeral services were held in the afternoon and interment followed at Blue Mound cemetery. She was married to Clyde Green of Elmwood and leaves two children, the youngest three weeks old, along with a grieving husband and family. The community mourns her loss and the Herald extends sympathy.
A recently chartered First National Bank secured the former DeGraw & Company corner and plans a modern two story office building. The site, purchased last week, marks a major Beaver expansion with construction to begin soon. A neighborhood building boom is expected as buyers purchase plots from a $5,600 school-law land sale.
