Beaver Town Booms with Shows and Union of Gracy Loman

Beaver enjoys record crowds as local plays and wild west shows fill the week. Bybee Stock Company drew the largest audiences yet, Burk’s Uncle Tom’s Cabin also packed houses with about six hundred attendees Tuesday night. Gracy and Loman wed in court, set to reside in Beaver. A Confederate highway naming proposal sparks debate amid calls for national unity.

Dort Salesroom Brightened by Plants on Douglas Avenue

Manager E. D. Humphrey decorated the Dort sales room for last week making the windows attractive with potted plants. It stood as a real beauty spot along Douglas avenue drawing many compliments from visitors. About 1000 feet of used lumber and 000 used lath advertised cheaply by Thomas Heater in Okie.

Beaver County Pair a Great Success at County Fair

Beaver citizens and surrounding community celebrated the 1920 Beaver County Fair. The event drew large crowds across all departments with outstanding stock shows, prize-winning Herefords and Shorthorns, prolific textile displays, and wholesome amusements. A plane display was sadly lost to an Alva accident, but the fair concluded with strong community support and praise for exhibitors, officers, and sponsors.
