The Milwaukee Avenue Bank Collapse Linked to Dream Gambles
A Chicago bank collapse trace links to Walter Frentzen and Paul O Stensland through a dream inspired betting spree at the track. Frentzen won nearly $600 then, drawn into debt and embezzlement, as cashier Nemy W Hering and president Stensland were pulled into the scheme. The downfall spread to Delmuthery and other associates, with Stensland’s wanderer past, frugality, and liquor habit shaping the era’s tragedy.
