The young child of Mr and Mrs Jesse Arnclair died Saturday morning after several days of diphtheria. Due to the illness only brief funeral services were held at the grave. The community expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Delegations from the focal K of P lodge attended a Friday session with second degree conferred on DeGraw and third degree on Rod Kaley. After the ceremonies 104 visitors joined a social gathering at the area cage. Beaver A F and A M L lodge sent L L Long Deputy Grand Master Master Tooker L B Monnell secretary and W T Quinn senior Warden to Ivanhoe for mutual work and a cordial reception.
Miss Anna Nobeil hosted a neighborhood Halloween party at her Beaver home Tuesday evening inviting town youths. The event featured costumes, prizes for best and worst outfits, and a festive afterglow with refreshments as guests thanked the hostess.
The executive committee announces a two day fall meet with sessions Friday morning and Friday afternoon and night. Public attendance is invited. Notable speakers include Prof W J H Wood of Alva and Professor F Dy Brooks of Norman discussing rural schools and community needs.
Frazer, a pioneer abstracter now based in Gillette Wyoming, reports improved health and pleasant summers but very cold winters. He recalls last winter at Sundance and Black Hills reaching 27 to 48 degrees below zero, and mentions a continuing interest in return to the area. Beaver friends are encouraged by his progress.
Reported auto crash involves two cars on a bridge south of KC near Fath’s farm. Br Pugh aged from Halke drives Studebaker home from near Beaver. car off the bridge, damaged but occupants unhurt. Joe Foster liveryman and George Brown also involved. another car overturned but all escape unharmed. Authorities urge safer driving with signals and caution.
