N B Davis has purchased the Smith Drug Store at Forgan and will take charge this week. They plan to move to Forgan and occupy the Chancey Rice property. Beaver residents regret losing the Davises but welcome their nearby relocation.

Beaver’s first Trade Day on May 21 drew a large audience as merchants reported brisk business. A Beaver beat Booker baseball game attracted many fans, followed by a Jane orchestra dance and a public auction of farmer offerings. Organizers expect similar or better events on June 18 to unite the community and offer bargains and amusements for all.
The Herald notes Mrs Fannie McParland has given Beaver a striking rose display and urges residents to improve home life. It warns many focus on business while neglecting homes, urging cleaning, painting, and repairing shacks to attract visitors, attract families, and boost the town.
Through courtesy of Mr and Mrs Cliff Drum the Herald editor and niece Miss Helen Murphy enjoyed a fine fish dinner Monday evening. The fish were channels catfish caught earlier in Beaver river. Local praise centered on the quality and taste of the catfish served.
Rev. H. B. Butler of the Methodist church gave the Baccalaureate address to Beaver high school graduates at the Christian church Sunday morning. Special music and chorus groups provided the occasion, which drew a capacity crowd.
