Dedicatory Exercises Held For New Beaver Grade School
Dedicatory rites were held Tuesday night at the new Beaver grade school. Northwestern State Normal President Graves attended and delivered the dedicatory address and died during it. Rev L L Shaw presented the keys, W T Quine read the acceptance, and the High School Glee Club provided music. Pancakes and wafers followed, with blessings and praise for the school as a monument to Beaver’s spirit and future generations.

New Methodist Pastor Arrives in Beaver Parish

J. J. Teagarten Dies In Auto Crash In Gate County
J. J. Teagarten a leading Gate County citizen and east end Republican leader died in an auto crash last Thursday evening. He was driving a Ford with several children when the car overturned near the railroad tracks just outside Gate. Teagarten died instantly and one girl was badly injured.

Infant burned by spilled linseed oil accident
The infant child of Mr and Mrs John Lawan was seriously burned Saturday when a pan of boiling linseed oil spilled. Crawling on the floor the child touched the hot oil on hands arms and stomach. The patient is critically ill but slightly improved at present.
