Haiti Miles recently earned a teachers certificate from the Lindsborg Academy of Music and will take pupils for piano and voice. Call at her home, Feaver Chinhon OAT TOL Et Chas. Miles, who studied at the State University in Norman, returned home Friday for summer vacation.
The Half Shell notes a two item paper shortage due to train delays. The edition hopes to print later in the week when supplies arrive. KK. Carter, district organizer for the State Rural Credit Association of Oklahoma City, leaves the White House Hotel to promote the group and its ad appears in this issue, urging readers to read it and contact him.
The electric Haht and Warworks systems for Beaver are now in operation. Elbert Olife is the first patron to have city water piped to his premises and supplies the church with power. The Methodive church was first to install electric lights and others follow as orders come in. Rates set by city authorities are liberal and by year end most residents will have city water and electric lights.
Beaver defeated Woodward 11 to 0 at Beaver diamond on Friday afternoon. Beaver’s strong play and steady support overwhelmed Woodward after early innings, with enthusiastic fans enjoying the contest. Woodward players accepted the loss gracefully and pledged to return for another meeting.
Roscoe Risley son of RM Risley of Elmwood earned his degree at the Kansas City School of Law commencement on June 10. He was chosen to deliver an oration and will likely remain in Kansas City to practice law, earning the respect of Beaver County friends.

Mrs Martha Daver died Thursday after a long illness from heart trouble and age related complications. She resided on a farm south of Beaver and was a quiet devoted mother to a large family. Funeral services were held Friday at the home, with interment beside her husband M Daves in Beaver cemetery.
The executive committee asserts the Oklahoma Rural Credit Association is legally organized to aid farmers with cheaper mortgage loans. It pledges honesty and readiness to correct errors and promotes long term loans at low interest, citing European rural credit precedents. Members named include Ber Lutwo, Tom O Hannie, J B Town, W H Baayen, Day, and K S Cannan.
Dr. L Li Long logs recent deliveries including Dennis Rail and his wife a girl born on Sunday June inch. Rodney Rainey and spouse welcomed a boy on Saturday June 12. Robt N Campbell and partner welcomed a girl on Monday June 11.
