The ordinance restricts sprinkling to 6 30 to 7 30 p m for meter users and 7 to 7 30 p m for non meter users. Violators will have lines cut off by order of the Board of Trustees.

Funeral services for Chas Sublette were held after his death at Clinton. Richeson of Truex Undertaking Company conveyed his body to Floris for burial. Rev J E Perkins led the service. Sublette family once farmed near Floris. daughter Beatrice studied at Beaver and later worked at Ochiltree Texas News. Beaver county friends share in the loss.
The meeting held Thursday night in the court room organized the Awkward Squad. T Smith was named captain with H E Nizon and T A Braidwood as lieutenants. Meetings set for Mondays and Thursdays at 7:85 p m with a bugle call to summon members.
Lloyd Rays of LaKemp, editor P F Rayl of the LaKemp Citizen, suffered a broken nose Saturday during a LaKemp Balko game. A misthrown bat struck him from about twenty feet away, breaking and mashing the nose. At the hospital doctors removed bone fragments and rebuilt the nose. The patient rests well but faces a lengthy recovery.
Maurine Roberton, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W H Roberton, drank kerosene from a glass while playing in the kitchen Thursday. A physician was summoned. she was weak and sick for several days but recovered with no serious lasting effects.
The Laverne Church of Christ adopted a resolution to surrender evangelist L L Shaw to Beaver for gospel campaign leadership after a revival that added sixty members, with thirty nine baptisms. The campaign featured a six year pastoral connection with the adjoining county, a bold biblical message, homegrown music, and personal work by members. Total expense was $28 plus a modest offering to the evangelist.
More than thirty Beaver Equity Exchange stockholders met at the courthouse for the annual meeting. Officers elected were W A Gregory president, W H Fry secretary treasurer, Wesley Wilson, J A Barker and John Spohn directors, E P Brown manager. The year closed with a $200000 business volume, $92000 by members and $108000 by non members. A 5 percent stock dividend and 1 percent patronage dividend were declared. Plans seek an elevator to handle this year’s crop. operations remain at the former location.
A group from Beaver County traveled to Denver last week to serve as witnesses in the case of W. H. Humphrey, charged with tend fraud. The defendant pleaded guilty and received a penalty of $100 and ten days. The Beaver party, who arrived by automobile, extended their stay to tour Rocky Mountain sights including Pike's Peak and Garden of the Gods before most came home on Saturday.
The week opened with a 106 degree scorcher and hot southerly winds. A cooler Monday gave way to another 108 degree day. Tuesday night brought a north wind and a long gale, followed by a sharp temperature drop. Wednesday cooled further and overcast skies lingered.
