Brave girl thwarts hold up saves 5000 for employers
Emma Dodge, a 20 year old from Saylesville, drove a sleigh 200 yards after two masked robbers ambushed a payroll run for Glenlyon dye works. She pulled the reins, fired no shot, and after fainting, helped carry the wounded partner and preserved $5000 destined for the Phillipdale plant. She was later treated for a torn arm. Police pursued the robbers but they escaped.
