Epworth League Hosts World Trip Social Evening
Epworth League held a “Trip Around World” last Friday with about 40 participants. They enjoyed refreshments at each stop and ice cream and cake upon returning to the chancel around 11. Vacations and heat have cut Sunday school attendance, and all members in town are urged to attend each Sunday. John A. Spohn planned a class outing last week, and T. N. Cowan will lead prayer on Wednesday evening this week.

Englewood Tornado Destroys Opera House and Damages Town
A tornado hit Englewood Kansas Friday evening causing severe damage. The opera house roof was blown off and debris scattered into a brick garage. Several people were injured and a Mr. Hoffman was not expected to live. Widespread destruction damaged dwellings and shattered windows along business streets.

Twister Skar Forgan Destroys Trees and Grain Elevator
A Saturday storm produced a twister near Peckham Grove north of the sand hills and west of Forgan. In Peckham Grove three large trees were uprooted, many twisted, and about a mile of telephone line blown down. West of Forgan a storage grain elevator was blown down and other damage occurred. The town has suffered destruction but damage remains limited to a few buildings.

Dokey Organizer Hohn Leads Prep for Woodward Event
Fred Hohn of Altus arrived to organize the Dokey or ganizer activities as preliminaries for the big ceremonies at Woodward on August 14. The Doklen are to the Knights of Pythias what Shriners are to the Masons a playful degree. A large list of candidates from Beaver Hill City Woodward Altus Leedy Viel bac Yerne Buffalo and Perryton is reported. The ceremony will begin with a grand march around dark in the evening.

Goodwell orchestra performed at Christian church on July 24 with actors and remarks by Prof Cousins Supt Henson Judge Hughes and Mr Galbraith. Address by Prof Countns extolled Panhandle Agricultural and Mechanical College as near home democratic and affordable for boys and girls. Judge Hughes urged support noting growth from 37 students to over 900 enrolled. Galbraith endorsed the college as ideal education in Oklahoma's panhandle.

Sad accident claims Harold Prater near Boyd
Harold D. Prater, born November 26 1901 in Pawnee Oklahoma, died instantly after a horse dragging incident in the Boyd area Sunday evening. He had recently moved with family to Beaver County and studied at Goodwell. funeral was conducted at his home by W C Bryan and he was laid to rest in Bethany cemetery.
