The First National flank of Beaver opened Tuesday on the south side of the new Truss building with Bills from Kansas City overseeing the opening and plans to remain with the bank. Officers named include W. Webb president and Frank Maple vice president, with several directors listed. The Probstorate Company’s HF Pentit was noted as the first depositor.
Silas Strong, aged 80, of Clinton County Indiana, died suddenly Sunday afternoon at his son’s home in Indiana while family sat together after dinner. Funeral services were held Monday. burial in Bowyer Cemetery. The District Court adjourned Saturday night, with commentary on the early end of term and costs. The Beaver Telephone Company expanded service toward Woodward, moving Big Jo Lumber to a new site near Paul Light Lumber. Miss Lena Wright visited Gate Tuesday for insider information on the strike. Mine Wright held a stake in the company and followed the test well developments with interest.
