Will Run Line From Wichita Falls Toward Denver

W F and N W plans to extend the railroad from Wichita Falls northward to Denver with through freight and passenger service. The route spans from Hammon to Forgan Oklahoma, with Woodward and LaVerne along the way and a current one town gap to be filled to Forgne by June 10. Officials expect rails to reach Forgne and aim for a full through trunk line to Denver by later this year.

Rev Shaw Aids Local Church Growth and Turnover

Rev Shaw aided the Piret Christian church boosting membership with 12 new additions and four baptisms at a Monday meeting. Murdered Advertising Solicitor Found Near Nowata Field

Mire. Irene Goheen, 28, advertising solicitor for the Nowata Daily Advertiser, was found with a crushed head in a field about a mile from town. She was last seen Monday at the Missouri Pacific depot with Mia Mc Daniels. The killer or killers are not yet caught, and two men believed to have dragged the body are suspected. The case has drawn regional attention amid cautions of two-man involvement and possible divorce-case links. The community is urged to support a clean-up day to improve Beaver's appearance and sanitary conditions.
