Gladstone defeated Jamestown in a match played at Gladstone before about 900 spectators. Gladstone dominated all quarters, securing a three-year premiership run and equaling Jamestown with five titles overall. Captain M Read will later receive a Morris chair and the cup donated by Mr A Napper. Gladstone will hold the association shield for another year.
