Narrow escape on winding road near Sherman's bridge
On Thursday September 2 near 4 pm an auto driven by J. Allen of Alma and two men ditched to avoid a head on collision with a horse and buggy carrying Indira Mia Carnaham and two West Fulton daughters. Barn Destroyed By Fire In Emerson Saturday Afternoon
Henry Cook of Emerson lost a barn 80 by 40 feet with 14 tons of hay 125 bushels oats 100 bushels corn and 100 bushels oats plus tools bees and a half acre of bees. Fire discovered at 4 30 by Stanley Cook helped save the house. Insurance on barn and crib was 540 with content at 1875. Loss about twice the insured amount.
