WAS WELL KNOWN RESIDENT Miss Emily Case third daughter of the late William Case of Exeter Canada died at her sister Mrs A W Wright 50 North State street on Friday evening September 15 at the age 72 years Services were at the home Sunday by Rev J Frank Jackson Miss Elizabeth B Case and Mr F W Hooper accompanied the remains to Eyeter Canada where she was laid to rest beside loved ones gone before Rev Trump rector of the Trivett Memorial church read the burial service at the grave Six cousins acted as pall bearers Miss Case had been a resident of Alma for 28 years and was beloved by many especially in St John s church where she was active in good works Always ready to help others she was held in high esteem

Mrs. Florence Hood Von Thurn wife of Rev. Von Thurn of Coleraine Minnesota died last week Thursday in Duluth Minnesota. She was born in Saginaw Michigan and educated in Alma and Holland Michigan. She married Rev. Kees Von Thurn August 27 1914 at Rapid City South Dakota. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the Von Thurn home east of Alma with Rev. William H. Mason officiating and burial in Riverside Cemetery. Survived by husband Rev. Von Thurn two brothers and a sister and her parents.
