He advanced from eighth grade at twelve to high school graduation and completed a regular teacher course plus bookkeeping, earning high averages in spelling shorthand English and teaching methods while typing at forty two words a minute. He plans commercial work next year at Sheridan High School.

The Arcada cash grocery was sold by Mr. Willet to M. McIntosh and George W. Finks, who assumed possession Wednesday morning. McIntosh, a longtime Alma businessman, will run with his son in law, bringing prior experience. Willet plans to add a meat market to his River avenue grocery within a few weeks. Alma breaks ground on a new one million dollar Northern Wheel Company plant to house a brick and concrete factory building 60 by 520 feet, a brick heating plant, and frame storage sheds.
