Alma College Endowment Progress Highlighted by Synod
The Synod of Michigan met in Mt Clemens from October 10 to 11 and heard Alma College’s strongest report yet. President Bruske discussed challenges, notably a $200,000 permanent endowment, with pledges and gifts totaling toward that goal. Trustees were appointed, and the next annual meeting planned for Saginaw with a visit to Alma to lay the corner stone of a new museum building.

Eli Perkins drew a large audience at Epworth League night in Adams New York on February 20. The Rev John Richards of the Methodist church praised the lecture as bright witty and uplifting. Alma Opera House hosts a B Y P A event the following Tuesday October 25 with admissions 15 25 and 83 cents and reserved seats at Webb's drug store.
