Reservations close for season tickets in coming draw

New Industry to Open at Alma Standard Foundry Plant

Alma plans a new industrial venture to be known as the Standard Foundry and Manufacturing Company. It will lease land from the Pere Marquette Railroad west and south of Montigel Butterfeld’s lumber and coal lands and erect an initial 64 by 44 foot building with more structures planned. The firm will operate a general foundry and produce farm and shop machinery, restoring Alma’s manufacturing prestige with an up to date plant.
