Alma two day horse racing meet and beet plant plans

The Alma track hosts a two day meeting featuring top horses from Michigan cities with racing on Thursday and Friday at 1 00 p m Bands will supply music and spectators will see horses from Saginaw and Grand Rapids. The Michigan Luger company beet campaign may start mid month depending on beet arrivals and rainfall. Beets and harvest conditions affect opening dates and plant operations across Michigan. the TS and M Helland S Super weigh stations expansion is noted with manager Saville overseeing. A school trip by Agricultural Club boys is scheduled for October with a visit from Pompeii to the state college and a day of program planning led by Mr Lindersff.
