Licenses Go On Sale Friday for 1923 Plates in Gratiot
Automobile owners and truck and motorcycle users may secure their 1923 license plates starting Friday December 1 at the Secretary of State branch office in Alma run by Sharar and Watson. Plates go on sale but cannot be used until January 1. A new title-for-license rule requires owners to show proof of title to purchase and the clerk must note the title number on the license application. Those without title cannot buy plates. purchase between December 1 and December 24 to avoid year-end rush.
