A local city debates forming a city fire team to defend valuable property and sugar works. An order is placed for steel rails for the Lansing to St Johns electric railway. Grading from Lansing to De Witt is about half done, delays due to right of way. Road official expects work to pause for winter and resume in spring, aiming to complete to St Johns by July. Also notices Alma circuit conference meetings and a December orchestral concert at the opera house with a 25 and 50 cent admission.
The union thanksgiving services will be held in the United Brethren church at ten o'clock standard time. The program includes a coda to the Workers' songs and is led by JR Weare with other participants to follow.
